Warning Zone aims to provide an outstanding educational resource, teaching vital safety messages to the community, particularly young people, the elderly and disabled. This safe and interactive experience will bring together expertise and support from across the public and private sectors to take a positive step towards the prevention of unnecessary injury and death. The Zone provides schools with an opportunity to help their pupils understand the dangers they may encounter in their every day lives and also develop the concept of personal responsibility.

At 10 years of age, children are taking decisions that not only affect their safety; their actions can also affect the lives of other people.

Our young visitors learn that they are responsible in criminal law and can be arrested for unlawful acts.

The Pathways centre is a suite of rooms based within Hinckley Baptist Church, located in the town centre. These buildings have been used for various activities for many years and have become run down. With this in mind the Pathways project was born. Research into the needs of the local area was undertaken and a fund raising programme embarked upon to refurbish the rooms.

Donations received for our project will ensure that we can kit out the centre adequately to house a lot of worthwhile projects. We have plans to have an after school club, coupled with new groups dealing with issues of homelessness, those on low incomes, social exclusion and disabilities.

The Dorothy Goodman School is located on two sites. Both schools are well equipped to educate children with severe Learning disabilities to profound multiple learning disabilities from the ages of 3 through to 19, taking into account their every possible need.

Dorothy Goodman School aims to provide a safe, stimulating and caring educational environment, in which all children are able to learn and develop their social, creative and academic skills

Throughout the curriculum, students are encouraged to have an understanding of themselves and the world about them, enabling them to become self-confident young people and to develop skills in a setting which is both structured and caring.
